Warning: WoW babble ahead!




Sorry for anyone who doesn't want to hear but I feel like rambling. =)

I did Kara for the first time yesterday. The noobs ([info]absenceofmind, [info]sesame_seed, and me) did not cause a party wipe and there was much rejoicing! Considering what a nervous wreck I was going into it, the whole thing went rather well. Of course, that was mostly 'cause we had our super duper sempais (who have been coaching us for the last couple of months) dragging us along.

Aki and I got spectacularly SQUISHED by the Strawman during the Opera Event and the entire party wiped once on Moroes, but we one-shotted everything else. We got as far as the Curator before calling it a night which was way farther than we originally planned to go .

It was pretty awesomely fun... in a mind meltingly stressful kinda way. I'm sure I'll be fine after we do it... 8-9 more times. ^__^'

Anyways, that's it for WoW babble. =)

Oh, isn't the drawing cute?! [info]lorelai drew it for me. I'm a Tauren druid (a big fat cow for people who dunno WoW) and my name is Ikarous so she drew me a cow falling out of the sky. LOL

In other random news, my opera teacher asked me to perform in June. Ohgeez. I haven't practices singing in months. Gah.

Oh and I finally bought a new pair of in-line skates (after [info]ziggybecket's garage ate my other 2 pairs). I can't wait for the weather to get nicer so I can go skate! It's been years since I skated on the streets. It's not like you have to watch for sidewalk cracks and debris when you're on ice so I'm praying for minimal wipe-outs my first couple of times out. @_@

I didn't know you played WoW like... ever =o I just got back into it a month and a half ago after a year of hiatus. Now I play on an RP server(sentinels), mostly for the RP, though I find I like many aspects of the game a lot more through the rp. =) Dying is a lot of fun, when in good company, I think.

I'm a womanizing belf rogue, who sleeps in public spaces(he's a bit of a bum), can't afford a mount at lvl 45, plays dice for silver, and sells bloodthistle on the side. It's a lot of fun. Not quite as cute as a tauren druid but he's pretty special all the same.

I've been playing since mid-last year rather casually. I don't talk about it much 'cause I think it just bores most people. =)

Didn't you used to have an alliance toon?? Or am I just remembering wrong?

Yeah most people being bored to tears by wow is standard, but it's fun to talk to people when they do know about it. =o I love playing wow on an RP server because of the diversity of the players - my best friends: a 15 year old, a middle school teacher, a college professor and her 13 year old son, a mathematician, a newspaper economist.

I did have a bunch of Ally characters on Uther when I first started playing, so you are remembering right =) Since I RP now, I just don't play them because I hate Allies from a lore perspective. Humans are big jerks, Nelfs are aloof, and Blizzard won't put a shake of effort into the lore for gnomes and dwarves.

I'm afraid if I ever started WoW, no one would see me again because I would never leave my apt. LOL! Remember knee and elbow pads are your friends.

Yeah it's a distinct danger. So far, we're managing ok... :: knock on wood:

Um... I think my pads also got eaten by Zig's garage. I suppose if I really feel like I'm going to eat it lots, I'll dig out my hockey gear and strap it on. ^^;
